Q. Why do I need to use a wax on my marble surfaces?
A. Marble is softer and more porous than granite. This makes it susceptible to scratches, pitting, cracks, and stains as well as loss of its shine. Using our wax seals the marble to prevent damage from liquids and harmful acidic foods and substances.
Marble should be dusted once per week with a soft lint free cloth. If you need to perform a wet clean then only a pH neutral cleaner and a damp cloth should be used, drying the surface straight away.
Q. How often should I use the wax?
A. As soon as water stops beading when splashed on the surface of the marble and begins to pool or if the shine is starting to fade.
Q. How long can I leave the wax on when treating my marble?
A. The first time we recommend leaving the wax on for 1 minute, especially on counter tops, after this first treatment wipe the remaining wax away as soon as you have finish applying it to the surface.
